AIR CONDITIONING USING VRV-VRFSYSTEMS

What are VRV-VRFsystems?

In 1982, Daikin company, industry leader in air conditioning equipment, introduced a new innovative air conditioning system called VRV ((Variable Refrigerant Volume) and revolutionized the field of air conditioning.

VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) refers to the same technology depending on the air conditioning system manufacturer.

Components:

  • Heat pump with inverter technology compressor (outdoor unit)
  • Indoor units
  • Copper piping for freon circulation
  • Indoor units’ condensate drainage network.

Inverter Technology – How it works

The compressor located in the outdoor unit “cooperates” with the temperature sensor on the inside unit to achieve the desired result.

Inverter technology allows the compressor to operate at variable speed, depending on the engine’s received frequency, thus changing freon’s flow.

When the difference between room temperature and desired temperature is big, the compressor operates in high frequency until it reaches the desired result.

When the desired temperature is reached, inverter technology orders the compressor to gradually reduce its power and operate at the speed required to maintain the desired temperature.

Put simply, inverter technology makes the air conditioner to fully operate until it reaches the desired temperature and then to operate less and continuously maintaining temperature levels close to desired ones.

In this way inverter technology ensures:

  • Desired temperature fast achievement.
  • Maintaining temperature close to desired levels.
  • Minimum levels of noise.
  • Saving energy and money.
  • Reduced starting time per 1/3

VRV-VRF systems make possible for the outdoor unit to connect with multiple indoor units via a central piping network.

In sophisticated systems, the possibility of connecting up to 16 indoor units to one outdoor unit is ensured and performance linear control from 10 to 100% is achieved.

Potential development of the central piping network can reach up to 100 meters per indoor unit. The maximum height difference between outdoor-indoor units is 50 meters while the maximum height difference between indoor units is 15 meters.

VRV systems may also operate in extreme external ambient conditions from -15 ° C in heating up to +45 ° C in cooling.

Indoor units are available in many types allowing us to choose among a wide range depending on our needs and spatial planning.

Outdoor units are also very compact, can be placed close together, minimizing the space required for installation.

VRV-VRF systems therefore offer flexibility, autonomy, economy, energy saving and can be connected to BEMS (Building Energy Management System) offering the possibility for total control and high efficiency.

Our company will examine your case and will recommend the best solution to meet your needs by offering construction quality, high-quality operation and efficiency in a professional and consistent manner.
